Packing up Jelapang Home

On the 5th and 6th of November 2007, 5 friendly workers from Asia Trans came to our Jelapang home and packed all of our things into 140 boxes... clothes, toys, books, sofa, dining set, kitchen stuffs, beds, mattresses, chairs, TV, computer, etc... They were then loaded into a 20-footer container and set sail in a vessel for Melbourne. The vessel arrived on 23 November 2007.

140 boxes of our belongings left for the warehouse in this truck...

The kitchen.

The TV room.

The parents' room.

The kids' room, where they used to snuggle up to sleep... In this room, hundreds of stories were read and told, thousands of sweet dreams and hopes were made...

Right after the movers packed all our furnitures into 140 boxes from the 5th to the 6th Nov 2007, mummy and Ah Yi cleaned up the whole house.

This is the living area, with the most beautiful mirror and curtains...

Gone are the rattan sofa set and the klippan sofa, the living area and the TV room where the family gathers together to talk, play and watch television.

The dining area where we ate our delicious meals together as one family... We'll meet again and have our first meal down under, on Christmas Day.
