Winter Wonderland

On a Saturday morning, we packed our ski suit, snow boots and toboggans for snow play at Lake Mountain. It was a scenic 1-hour drive to Marysville, a quaint looking town beside the Yarra Ranges National Park. We stopped for brunch; mummy’s home cooked porridge. Yum! Hot porridge on a cold winter morning. We watched groups of people coming out of ski shops with their rental ski boards and toboggans as we ate our porridge and sandwiches.

Another half hour drive along frosty roads took us to the foot of Lake Mountain. We were excited to see that the snow report was VERY GOOD. This time, we parked 2km away from the top of the mountain, as the car park was already full. Once the car was parked, we could see people having fun in the snow, snow fight. It’s quite a challenge to put on our ski suit, snow boots, beanies and gloves while trying to contain the excitement. We took the shuttle bus up to the toboggan run and the FUN begins.

Hahaha... snowball fight!

Mummy and Tricia had many rounds of toboggan fun...Wheeeeee... Cannot get enough of it.

Hmmm... what a great big snowman to play with...

Mummy and Tricia making a smaller version of snowman... and Viola!

Snow Baby

Rolling around on the icy cold snow...It's soooooo fun.

It’s a very very special feeling being there with the snow. Pure, white snow. It’s so refreshing, invigorating.

Euphoria!
