Today is Sunday. The family had a leisurely morning breakfast time before papa left to catch the bus to work while kids and mummy head off to church. We attended the Burwood Community Presbyterian Church.
It brought warm memories of church services for mummy. The hymns, the prayer, the doxology and the benediction were so familiar and so comforting to the heart and the soul. Little things like the pews and the hymnals, the order of the worship service and the thanksgiving prayers touched me. The sermon was delivered in Chinese and translated to English. It was based on Joshua 10:1-15. Titled 'God Gets Into Things', the 3 main lessons to learn from it were: Believing a divine promise; Using wise strategy; and Calling on the Lord in prayer. I felt ministered today.
After lunch at the church, I couldn't find Timothy. He had made friends and is too engrossed in playing to go home. In the car, on the way home, Timothy asked if I've decided to continue to attend this church. I asked for his opinion and he said he had already decided to come back again. And Tricia echoed her brother's sentiment. God is pleased.
This is the 2nd church we've visited. And we're most thankful to God for having Janice and her family here with us. Our family have had a boost of motivation in building a connection to God in His House. We're still church hunting.

Dear Chai,
My family share your joy in finding a church.
God is good all the time, and I'm sure you can find a church to settle down.
Hi Chai,
Very happy when I read that you guys manage to find a church where you are comfortable with. Hope you will be able to settle in soon. Or find one that you and the kids can be ministered to. I am looking forward to the day that Zach & I can go back to church too. :)
