Besides having a birthday party at home, there are many other options for kids and parents to choose from. It's not just at MacDonalds, there's a variety of other venues such as the swimming pool, golf centre, roller skating centre, bowling alley, games arcade, rock climbing centre, etc...
These places offer a package of games and food, a cozy area for the birthday celebration. Most come with invitation cards and goody bags for the guests too. It's no wonder that parents are attracted to such convenient choice that promises so much fun. Plus, no cleaning up to do after the party!
Timothy has been to the AMF bowling alley twice this year for his classmates birthday party. They have their game of bowling, followed by refreshment and the cake and ending with free arcade games. He's just asked to have his next birthday celebration somewhere. Guess he's getting itchy after having so much fun at parties. He was thinking of the games arcade. There's this one that he's been to where they have great fun playing some sort of laser quest game, each armed with a laser gun, all in the dark! It's called Dark Zone. The first time he went there last year, he came out with a bump on his forehead. He ran into a pillar. That day, he lost miserably cos everyone could see him in his white T-shirt. This year, he was invited there by another classmate, we remember to dress him in black!
Tricia loves birthday parties and she would usually skip the refreshment and save her appetite for the birthday cake. She was at MacDonalds for a classmate's birthday and she enjoyed the games. She has also been to 2 of her classmates' house for their birthday parties. Unlike her brother, she would spend hours playing with the knick-knacks from the goody bags.

Tricia was at the Carribbean Rollerama last Saturday. She had loads of fun roller skating. Very good for a first timer. Her sense of balance is fantastic. We'll go there again during the school holidays.
For her 7th birthday, Tricia had written down her wishes for a special birhtday celebration. When she came to the guest list, she was lost on who to invite. Well, she figured that she cannot invite her friends here since she'll be celebrating her birthday in Singapore. She was rather disappointed. Anyway, there're more birthday parties to come!
