Tricia's class excursion

Today is Tricia's class excursion to Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary at Port Phillip. Mummy went along too.

The class getting ready...

Off we go in the bus...Buckle up and sit tight, it's an hours drive away.

And what did we see?
Jane, the marine guide showing a piece of seaweed.

Sea snails and shells

Jellyfish and more...

Exploring the marine life amongst the rock pools. Jane patiently explaining to the kids and encouraging them to pick up something to have a closer look. They did, and it was great! We picked up crabs and even a Port Jackson's Shark egg case.

Wow! Look! Tricia found something? A seasnail or shellfish? Nope, a ladybug. It's prettier than the shells.

Run, the rain's coming... We did that twice and when the rain drops came the third time, we just stayed out there and got drenched...

And finally, after the exciting walk out in the rock pools, sandplay... and drying up in the sun...

In that few hours out there at the seaside, we brave the wind, the rain and finally the sun... It all ended well, especially with an hour of sandplay.

That's Tricia's friend, Arya.
