Our plane touched down on the cool evening of 23rd Dec...when I heard the pilot's update on the weather here, at 27degrees, raining and cool, I was so relieved...at least we get a chance to ease into the warmth and humidity, I thought. And yes we did. I remember waking up to a very cool Christmas eve morning.
Back from the airport to my parents' place at Bukit Batok, we were treated to a surprise. And here it is! Not just any Christmas tree, a real one! What a wonderful surprise! Tricia had a great time putting up the deco. Despite the 11 hour journey from Melbourne, the kids were not the least tired. Just very very happy and excited. I remember checking the time difference. It was about 1am local time before we finally turned in, and that's 4am Melbourne time.
This is the very first Christmas tree in this household. And a real one. Awesome. The kids with their cousins at Jurong. That's Christmas eve dinner that evening. We had a steamboat dinner before the kids ripped open their presents.
Papa, your Christmas presents are with us...really missed having you here.On Christmas day, we spent the evening having a swim and a BBQ at my sis's place in Hillview.
Christmas at Ah Yi's house. This is another sanctuary for mummy and kids to hang out.
